Niko Marzouca is an American born recording / mixing engineer influenced by a number of musical styles and backgrounds, but rooted primarily in R&B, Pop, Reggae & Hip Hop.
Niko has mixed for Bob Marley, Jim Jonsin, Pharrell, Usher, Rick Ross, Supa Dups and recorded for American Idol, A$ap Rocky, Mary J Blige, Pitbull, Damien Marley and more.
In his teenage years, Niko Marzouca was a reggae dancehall DJ. He graduated from Full Sail Real World Education in April 1997. In 1999, he joined Circle House Studio (owned by reggae band Inner Circle) and became an essential part of the team, working with Lenny Kravitz, Julio Iglesias, Enrique Iglesias, José Feliciano, Mobb Deep, Cash Money and others.
Niko Marzouca gained notoriety while recording at the Marley’s Studio ,Lion’s Den, for his work on Damien Marley’s LP “Welcome to Jamrock” which won Best Reggae LP Grammy in 2005. Continuing his work with Stephen Marley he participated on several Grammy Award Winning LP’s and even mixed Bob Marley’s “Three Birds” remix for the Legend Remix LP and Hyndai Ad campaign.
In 2011 Niko teamed up with “Lollipop” producer Jim Jonsin to work in LA ,at American Idol, recording Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, and Haley Reinheart.
Although highly technical in his approach, Niko has a relaxed manner and a personal connection to his clients that helps him truly understand where they want to take their projects. He has recorded, mixed and/or remixed for just about every major label in the American music business and over twenty-five of the music industry’s top producers, including Jim Jonsin, Pharrell, Steven Marley and Damien Marley, who are recurring clients. Niko Marzouca has worked on numerous gold and platinum recordings.
